CA Intermediate is the second level in Chartered accountant course which is the replacement of the IPCC course. From 1st July 2017 ICAI revised the old scheme and replaced IPCC with CA Inter Course.
There are two options for students who want to enter in CA Intermediate Course. First is the foundation route where you can apply for CA inter registration after passing CA Foundation and second is Direct entry route where you can apply for registration after passing intermediate level of
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India or have appeared for Final year exam of graduation/ post-graduation.
CA Intermediate Course Road Map
As we mentioned above there are two schemes for CA intermediate registration and to enter in CA Inter level first students have to register themselves for intermediate level and The process after that is explained below.
CA Intermediate Exam Pattern
CA Intermediate course has 8 papers and each paper consist of 100 marks in the exam and to pass CA intermediate you have to secure 50 % marks in aggregate of all the subjects and 40 % in each subject.

CA Intermediate course new syllabus includes 2 groups and each group consisting of 4 papers.

Eligibility for CA Intermediate Course

Students who have secured 50 % marks in aggregate of all subjects in CA Foundation

Students who have secured 50 % marks in aggregate of all subjects in CPT
-
Students who have already appeared in the IPCC exam and want to convert from old scheme to revised scheme

Graduate/ Post-Graduate students who have secured a minimum of 55 % marks(commerce stream students)

Graduate/ Post-Graduate students who have secured a minimum of 60 % marks (other stream students)

Students who have cleared Intermediate level of ICWAI or ICSI
CA Intermediate Registration Process
Students can apply for CA Intermediate course registration through Foundation route and direct entry route and process of registration is given below
For Foundation Route Students
Go to ICAI> E-services > Intermediate registration
Log in with your user id and password
Fill required fields
Make payment
After this system will automatically generate a registration form and students need to get print of it.
For Direct Entry Route Students
Go to ICAI> E-services > Intermediate registration
Create a new login id and password
Fill required fields
Make payment
After this system will automatically generate CA Intermediate registration form and students need to get print of it.
Documents Required for CA Intermediate Registration
For Foundation Route Students
Attested copy of 12th class mark sheet of the respective board
Latest colored photograph affix on the registration form
Attested copy of proof of nationality (if the student is a foreigner)
Attested copy of special category certificate i.e OBS/SC
For Direct Entry Route Students

Attested copy of intermediate level mark sheet of ICWAI/ ICSI or graduation/ post-graduation mark sheet

Latest colored photograph affix on the registration form

Attested copy of proof of nationality (if the student is a foreigner)

Attested copy of special category certificate
The validity of CA Intermediate registration is 4 years and students can revalidate the registration by pay revalidation fees.

Fees for CA Inter registration for Foundation route or Direct entry route is given below

Students who want to apply for CA Intermediate course registration through direct entry route have to Rs 200 as a cost of the prospectus.
After registering yourself for intermediate you have to go for ITT and OP training (15 days for each) and the fee for ITT and OP training is Rs 6500 and Rs 7000 respectively.
CA Intermediate Exam Form/ Application Form
Registration is not enough to sit in the exam, you also have to fill the CA Intermediate application form and making requisite payment to get the admit card.

CA Inter exam fee details are given below
For Single Group – Rs 1500
For Both Groups – Rs 2700
CA Intermediate Admit Card
ICAI issues CA inter admit card 21 days prior to the exam. Students can not get admit offline so students have to download it from the ICAI website.
After downloading the admit card if you think there is an error (in exam center or medium) then you correct it by paying Rs 1000 (up to one week before the exam)
CA Intermediate Result
ICAI release CA Inter result within two months of exam and students can check their result from ICAI website and you can also get your result through SMS or Email.
