Chennai Super Kings:

The defending champions are eyeing their 4th IPL title with a core team that did the job in 2018. As ETV News Live rightly puts it, the franchise has the meat in all departments of the game, giving them the ability to post and run down imposing totals. Their batting line-up features Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, and Shane Watson while bowling is well served by the likes of Imran Tahir, Harbhajan, and Deepak Chahal. Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo lend balance to the team composition with their all-around abilities. With MS Dhoni calling the shots, CSK has the most inspirational leadership – a big plus for their title aspirations.
●Pros: Team spirit, talent, tenacity, inspirational captaincy, and vast experience
●Cons: Ageing players, at times lackluster pace bowling

Mumbai Indians:

Only second to CSK in terms of consistency with 3 IPL titles, Mumbai Indians have played good cricket to secure a place in playoffs. ETV Latest News has tracked MI’s progress in the league stage and rates it the biggest contender of the title for some obvious reasons. Led by Rohit Sharma, the team has an explosive batting line-up – Surya Kumar, Kieron Pollard, and Hardik Pandya – that can take the best of attacks to the cleaners on any given day. The bowling is also at par, thanks to the presence of Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga and Krunal Pandya.
●Pros: A balanced team, fine momentum, decent hitters and death bowlers
●Cons: Vulnerable top order and dismal form of skipper

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

sunrisers hyderabad team sport

Over the years, Sunrisers Hyderabad has developed an appetite for big matches. At the helm of affairs is Kane Williamson, a shrewd captain and top class batsman that can change the course of the game single-handedly. In the absence of David Warner who was in a red hot form and determined to regain respect in cricketing circles post the ball tempering fiasco that kept him out of international cricket for a year, other batsmen will have to come forward to fill his shoes. Per ETV Breaking News, the team will also be relying on Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar, Vijay Shankar and Khaleel Ahmed to steer them to title victory.
●Pros: a balanced team with good batsmen, pace attack and spinners
●Cons: The top order may fall short in absence of Warner and Jonny Bairstow

Delhi Capitals:

Delhi Capitals has punched above its weight to shed the tag of underdogs and make it to the playoffs. The franchisee will be expecting to put up a consolidated effort to clinch their maiden title. DC’s batting line looks solid with Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Colin Ingram, Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw while Ishant Sharma and Trent Boult lend firepower to the bowling. Unsurprisingly, ETV News Today ranks it highly.
●Pros: A young buoyant side playing fearless cricket
●Cons: Lack of big match exposure and temperament
